About Pete Gentil

I have lived in New Zealand’s stunning Bay of Islands for the past 22 years after moving here as part of a 36-year broadcasting career. That career saw me hosting radio shows for 20 years in Rotorua and 16 years running the local radio station in the Bay of Islands.

My wife, Sharon and I have raised 5 children, (now all adults) and I am kept busy in my new chosen career as a REAL Property Team member, matching people with homes.

I thoroughly enjoy what the Bay has to offer, fishing, diving, bush walks and the local culture in many and varied forms. I also have a wonderful time as a marriage & civil union celebrant helping couples to make their big day everything they want it to be.

Every ceremony I write begins with a blank page. It’s personal to you and I take great pleasure in creating something unique. Your wedding day is about you and the special people you choose to share it with.

I work hard to ensure you are relaxed and enjoy every minute of this part of your wedding day. I am available for unlimited consultation in the time leading up to the big day, and I will make every effort to ensure you get exactly what you want.
